In this section various useful information will be added over time related to different Bang & Olufsen models.
Access to the Service Menu is of great importance when you are into Retro-gaming or any other areas that needs tweaking areas like geometry and more. Such as when I had my SNES NTSC-U connected to my Bang & Olufsen MX7000, MX6000 and MX8000 weren’t correctly aligned and showed a black bar at the right of the image. A quick tour in the Service Menu and adjusting the correct value would render a perfect picture.
There are models in which you can access the service menu via the BEO4 remote control depending on which software version and year of the TV. If you are unable to access the service menu using the following codes, then you’ll have to open the back cover (4 Philips screws) and short-circuit two pins which are labeled, “SERVICE MENU” whilst you have the TV turned on in TV Mode. Or, you can follow my tutorial on easily adding a button so that you can access the Service Menu easily whenever needed. Link to Tutorial: Here! (Coming Soon)
